Conference Announcement
To further promote the cultivation of innovative talent in foreign language disciplines and enhance undergraduates' innovation and research capabilities, the Foreign Language Discipline Development Research Committee of China Association for Comparative Studies of English and Chinese (CACSEC) will continue to sponsor the Undergraduate Research Achievements Presentation Event in 2026. The event is hosted by the School of Foreign Languages, Qingdao University, and the presentation session is organized by the School of Foreign Languages, Dali University. Academic support is provided by CSSCI journals such as Foreign Languages in China and Computer-Assisted Foreign Language Education in China. The event is co-organized by YGYM Group and Shanghai LINGJI Technology Co., Ltd. The Committee will establish an Undergraduate Research Achievements Presentation Organizing Committee, composed of representatives from the standing committee member institutions.
01 Format, Time, and Venue of the Presentation Event
Beginning in 2026, the Undergraduate Research Achievements Presentation Event will be open to submissions from undergraduate students enrolled in universities nationwide, using an open registration process. Undergraduate students are required to submit their completed registration form and research achievement in accordance with the requirements specified in the official announcement. The Organizing Committee will organize an anonymous expert review to determine and announce a list of 40 finalists for the presentation event.
The presentation event will be held on August 22, 2026, at the School of Foreign Languages, Dali University. Each achievement will be allocated 10 minutes for presentation, followed by 5 minutes for expert comments and discussion.
02 Themes and Formatting Requirements for Submissions
By June 15, 2026 (including the date), undergraduate students shall send the completed registration form and an anonymized PDF version of their research achievement to the designated email address: wyxkfz_2026bk@126.com. The subject line of the email, the file name of the registration form, and the file name of the submitted PDF must follow this format: Institution-Student Name-Title of Achievement. At the same time, students must scan the QR code to complete the information summary form, to assist the Organizing Committee in compiling registration statistics and ensuring the accuracy of registration information.

The theme of the achievement should fall within the fields of foreign language and literature studies, including but not limited to linguistics, literature, translation studies, comparative literature and intercultural communication, area and country studies, and foreign language education. The achievement must be academic and original.
All authors or members of the achievement must be undergraduate students from the classes of 2022 to 2025 in foreign language-related disciplines. Only one registration form is required per achievement. Each student may participate in only one achievement. In principle, each project team should consist of no more than five members, including the team leader, and all members must be current undergraduate students.
Submissions may be written in either Chinese or English. The recommended length is 6,000–10,000 Chinese characters or 3,000–6,000 English words. The writing should be clear, the argumentation well-grounded, and the position explicit. Font: Times New Roman or SimSun, font size: 12 pt (small four), line spacing: 1.5.
The body of the manuscript should include, in order: Chinese title, Chinese abstract, Chinese keywords, English title, English abstract, English keywords, main text, and notes and works cited. No author-identifying information should appear in the body of the manuscript. If the achievement is the result of a funded research project, relevant supporting documentation must be provided.
Submissions must follow one of the following two citation formats:
MLA style for notes and citations, with notes as footnotes that are not numbered consecutively across pages;
APA style for notes and citations, with notes as footnotes that are not numbered consecutively across pages.

Presentation format: 10 minutes for student representative presentation, followed by 5 minutes for expert comments and discussion. Specific arrangements will be announced separately.
