Yang Shizhang is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Russian and Eurasian Studies, Shanghai International Studies University. His research areas include translation studies, with academic interests focusing on cultural translation studies and translation adaptation studies.

Lecture Abstract
Based on a discussion of thin translation and related concepts, this lecture analyzes examples of Chinese-Russian translation to reveal the causes of thin translation. It aims to expand our understanding of the nature of thin translation and provide some reference for the translation of literature into foreign languages in the context of Chinese culture going global.
