Base Introduction
The Language Data and Artificial Intelligence Innovation Practice Base for College Students is jointly established by the Institute of Language Sciences at Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) and the Songjiang International Economic Development Zone. It serves as a deep-integration platform for industry-university-research collaboration, rooted in Shanghai and radiating its influence across the Yangtze River Delta region.
Located in the Songjiang International Economic Development Zone, the base covers a total area of 720 square meters and features three functional sections: an internship and training area, a project research and development area, and an academic exchange area. It is equipped with 50 standardized workstations and professional R&D facilities, fully supporting practical training needs in areas such as language data annotation, corpus construction, and artificial intelligence model training.
Guided by the core concept of integrating teaching, research, practice, and incubation, the base brings together resources from universities, research institutions, and leading enterprises. It recruits interns from universities nationwide on a long-term basis, providing systematic training in language data processing, multilingual AI applications, and related fields. The base collaborates with over ten top-tier research institutions, including the Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, to carry out cutting-edge research projects. It has also introduced more than ten companies in the AI and data technology sectors, such as iFlytek, to facilitate the efficient transformation of research outcomes into industrial-grade solutions.
Looking ahead, the base will continue to promote the industrialization of multilingual corpora, the development of language AI tools, and the vertical application of large models. It aims to cultivate innovative projects with market potential, establish itself as a key platform for international academic exchange and industry collaboration in the language data field, and strive to become a national-level engineering practice education center and language data training hub.
Internship Recruitment – Korean and Arabic Interns
Internship Location:
2nd Floor, Building 15, No. 300 Dingyuan Road, Songjiang District, Shanghai
Internship Requirements:
Candidates will be involved in language data processing and related tasks. The requirements are as follows:
Major in Korean or Arabic
Prior experience in language data processing such as corpus annotation is preferred
A background in computer science is preferred
Internship Duration:
Long-term internship (one month or more)
What You Will Gain:
An internship certificate issued by the Institute of Language Sciences, Shanghai International Studies University
On-site interns will receive corresponding subsidies in accordance with internship management regulations
Compensation for corpus data processing during the internship will be based on a standard rate of RMB 1,000 per 10 million tokens. If the quality of the processed corpus is evaluated as above average, an additional performance-based bonus will be provided.
