Congratulations! Another “Super Postdoctoral Fellow” Joins Our Institute

Recently, the Shanghai Municipal Talent Development Bureau announced the list of candidates for the 2025 Shanghai Super Postdoctoral FellowIncentive Program. Li Zan, a postdoctoral fellow at our institute, has been selected for the 2025 program under the mentorship of Professor Lei Lei.

 

 

About the Awardee



 

Li Zan holds a Ph.D. in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the School of Foreign Languages, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. She joined the Postdoctoral Research Station of Foreign Languages and Literatures at our institute in October 2024, conducting research in digital humanities, corpus linguistics, and second language acquisition. Over the past three years, she has published multiple academic papers in CSSCI-indexed journals such as Foreign Language Teaching and Research, Acta Psychologica Sinica, Modern Foreign Languages, Journal of Foreign Languages, and Foreign Language Journal, as well as in SSCI-indexed journals including International Review of Applied Linguistics in Language Teaching. She has also been awarded the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation (77th Batch) General Grant and serves as Principal Investigator for a Young Scholars Research Project at Shanghai International Studies University.

Previous Recognition

 

Previously, Dr. Jiang Yining from the Institute of Language Sciences was selected for the 2024 Shanghai Super Postdoctoral FellowIncentive Program.



Jiang Yining is a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Language Sciences, Shanghai International Studies University. Her research interests include lexical semantics, pragmatics, discourse analysis, and historical linguistics. She has published numerous papers in CSSCI core journals such as Studies of the Chinese Language, Chinese Teaching in the World, Language Sciences, Chinese Language Learning, and Essays on Linguistics, several of which have been reprinted in full by the Renmin University of Chinas Copy Center for Newspapers and Periodicals. Her co-authored work received the Second Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Philosophy and Social Sciences from Shanghai. Her current research projects include a Youth Project funded by the Shanghai Philosophy and Social Science Planning Program (2024), the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation (77th Batch) General Grant (2025), and a Youth Project funded by the National Social Science Fund of China (2025).

The Shanghai Super Postdoctoral FellowIncentive Program, jointly launched by the Shanghai Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and the Shanghai Municipal Finance Bureau, aims to further enhance the treatment of outstanding postdoctoral fellows in the city, stimulate the innovation and creativity of young researchers, and create favorable conditions for their professional development. The program ensures that selected fellows can concentrate fully on their research during their tenure, contributing their expertise and efforts to accelerate the development of Shanghais Five Centersand the promotion of its Four Major Brands.
