The Key Laboratory of Language Sciences and Multilingual Intelligent Applications at Shanghai International Studies University is a university-level entity research platform jointly established by the research strengths in Language Data Science and Neuro-/Psycholinguistics from the Institute of Language Sciences. The laboratory features interdisciplinary integration as its core characteristic, combining cutting-edge fields such as linguistics, data science, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence to conduct in-depth research in data-driven language development patterns, language cognition mechanisms, multilingual language resource repository construction, and the development of language science large models (in vertical domains). This has led to the formation of a distinctive “technology-driven, arts-sciences/arts-engineering integration” research model.
To leverage the laboratory’s resources, stimulate students’ academic interest, foster innovation and hands-on skills, and enhance undergraduate students’ understanding of language science and neuroscience-related fields, the Institute of Language Sciences, in collaboration with the Key Laboratory of Language Sciences and Multilingual Intelligent Applications, is organizing this eye-tracking technology application training. The training is open to all faculty and students, with limited seating available on a first-come, first-served basis.
